The Colerain Township Police Department implemented its Bicycle Patrol program in 1996. The first Bike Patrol Unit was established with two officers with the unit operating when sufficient manpower levels permitted.
The Colerain Police Department Honor Guard was established in 2002 through generous donations from our community. Since the creation of the Guard, they have participated in many events to include Memorial Day services, the Memorial Wall dedication, parades and, sadly, funerals for police and fire heroes.
The Criminal Investigative Unit (CIU) is comprised of nine detectives and one sergeant.
Our K9 team began patrolling the schools and streets of Colerain Township in May 2015.
The Patrol function is under the direction of Patrol Commander. 32 officers, divided among four squads, patrol Colerain Township on 12-hour shifts.
The Support Services Division includes civilian support staff, impound lot, property room, school district officers, accreditation and professional standards. These activities help to support our patrol and investigations divisions.
The Colerain Police Department has two officers assigned full-time as the Traffic Safety Officers.
