The Colerain Township Department of Fire & Emergency Medical Services' Inspections Bureau is responsible for the key elements of a comprehensive fire prevention program. Some of these elements include public education; focused risk reduction programs; pre-construction plan reviews; pre-plans of structures in the community; enforcement of fire codes and ordinances; issuance of permits; fire safety property inspections; investigating citizen complaints; and evaluating built-in fire protection systems.
In addition to working within the fire department, the Inspections Bureau must also work closely with other entities including the Colerain Township Zoning and Police Departments; the Hamilton County Building Department; the Hamilton County Health Department; and the State Fire Marshall's Office.
In an effort to assist business owners to prepare for a fire safety inspection, a list of the most common hazards has been included on our Pre-Inspections Checklist Page or click the link: Pre-Inspection Tips
For additional information or to schedule an inspection, please contact Fire Inspectors: Captain Mark Walsh or Jim Bowman.
